Martinelli Vintage Wedding Favors

30th May 2013

 I can’t tell you how excited I was to find a four pack of these little Martinelli apple juice bottles at my local Walmart. They are 10oz glass bottles and are absolutely adorable! I think they’d make a lovely little wedding or shower favor. They’ve been sitting in my pantry for a while so this morning while taking pictures of my Peach Mason Jar Wedding Invites, I printed some matching {Read more...}

Love Is In Bloom – Pretty Garden Bridal Shower

13th May 2013

I recently had the privilege of designing a bridal shower suite for a return customer, based on my vintage seed packet style invites, this time featuring pretty Poppies.  I absolutely love the idea of a “Love Is in Bloom” theme – it always reminds me of one of my favorite Alabama songs! “Wildflowers and love is in bloom We’ll have a hometown honeymoon just me and you…“ So lovely! Remember, {Read more...}

Hydrangeas Bridal or Baby Shower

19th Mar 2013

There are certain plants that just have a natural association with the South: especially hydrangeas. They remind me of summertime and front porches and a by-gone era.  These big, puffy, blooms in shades of white, pink and blue are delicate and beautiful.   Perfect for a wedding, bridal shower or baby shower, perhaps with a Love Is In Bloom or a Baby is Blooming theme?  In addition to invites, recipe {Read more...}

Mason Jar Invites

25th Feb 2013

It’s no secret that I absolutely adore mason jars.  I use them for drinking glasses, for vases, for storing my dry baking ingredients and planting herbs.  They were the centerpieces at my wedding reception, filled with wheat and wildflowers and accented with half-pint candles.  So maybe I went a little overboard with my mason jar invite designs in the Sunnyside Print & Party Shop. I love each and every one {Read more...}

Chocolate Play Dough Activity

24th Feb 2013

Every time my little guy plays with this chocolate play dough, the whole house smells delicious! I’m not sure how this would work with a younger child since the scent is so enticing, but he is 4 and old enough to understand that it’s not to eat. This is actually the second time I have made this with my little guy. The first time we used cookie cutters and cupcake {Read more...}

WAHM Resources : Hosting

24th Feb 2013

I have used a lot of hosting companies over the years.  And there is a lot to consider when choosing who is going to host your site.  Here are my big three: Customer service availability.  As a work-at-home mom, my hours are crazy.  If am working on a project at midnight and I need to get in touch with someone, it’s important to me that I don’t have to wait.  {Read more...}

Sunday Morning Buttermilk Waffles

24th Feb 2013

It’s become a tradition in our home that on Sunday mornings I make homemade waffles. Every week my husband is sure to ask if we have enough buttermilk in the fridge in anticipation for our Sunday morning waffles. I have tried a number of waffle recipes and these from Martha Stewart are by far our favorite. I usually halve the recipe below, and in my round Bella Rotating waffle maker {Read more...}

My Vintage Pink Shabby-Chic Baby Shower!

3rd Sep 2012

Well it has been a while…. baby girl arrived early! We are doing well and so happy to have her here, safe and sound. I’ve been wanting to share the beautiful baby shower my sister put together for my cousin and I (she is expecting a baby girl after 4 boys) … so the occasion called for lots of pink! We decided on a Sunday afternoon luncheon, and kept the {Read more...}
