I recently had the pleasure of putting together a version of this design for my new little nephew, William and I just adore how it turned out! The idea of a movie poster birth announcement is nothing new, but I set out to make mine a little different from what is currently available… giving them a slightly vintage, elegant feel. The colors and overall look of the announcement are completely customized around your little one’s photo. With sweet and fun “reviews” like “You will fall in love at first sight..” and “A must see for 2014!” these announcements are sure […]
The Hunt is Over! I just love these camouflage designs, especially when they are accented with bright feminine colors. (each listing includes a color chart — you can choose from over 100+ colors or request something custom) I originally came up with the design a few years ago as a special request for a bride to be’s save the date. These are still one of my favorite designs, and camo anything seems to be super in right now, probably thanks to the Duck Dynasty family! Whom I adore by the way…
There’s not much that says “summer” more than rolling fields of tall sweet corn! Check out our Pinterest Inspiration board below for our “Corny Farm-themed” party — perfect for a birthday, barbecue or picnic! 1 – yellow cutlery wrapped in green napkins (pitchforks and shovels!) 2- Our “corny” invitation is admittedly a little bit corny! The invite reads “we’re smiling from ear to ear”! Of course, if you don’t love the corny lines as much as me the wording can be changed 🙂 3- Green gingham favor bags 4-Sweet tea & lemonade served in mason jars with vintagey striped straws. […]
I can’t tell you how excited I was to find a four pack of these little Martinelli apple juice bottles at my local Walmart. They are 10oz glass bottles and are absolutely adorable! I think they’d make a lovely little wedding or shower favor. They’ve been sitting in my pantry for a while so this morning while taking pictures of my Peach Mason Jar Wedding Invites, I printed some matching 2″ party circles on cardstock, punched them out with my 2″ scallop punch and attached them to the little apple juice jars. So cute! If you can’t find these bottles […]
I recently had the privilege of designing a bridal shower suite for a return customer, based on my vintage seed packet style invites, this time featuring pretty Poppies. I absolutely love the idea of a “Love Is in Bloom” theme – it always reminds me of one of my favorite Alabama songs! “Wildflowers and love is in bloom We’ll have a hometown honeymoon just me and you…“ So lovely! Remember, our garden invites can be customized with your event colors and almost any flower of your choosing!
For my own wedding in 2007, I created seed packet wedding favors with wildflower seeds. And then I found myself creating them again and again for various occasions, both happy and sad. The photos shown are of a packet for my Mommom’s memorial service. She was a beautiful lady, dearly missed, and I think she would have loved these little favors. Using the seed packet templates from my Print & Party Shop you can easily create your own amazing little packets for any occasion. The process is pretty simple… order your custom packet design then get to assembling. Photos shown […]
There are certain plants that just have a natural association with the South: especially hydrangeas. They remind me of summertime and front porches and a by-gone era. These big, puffy, blooms in shades of white, pink and blue are delicate and beautiful. Perfect for a wedding, bridal shower or baby shower, perhaps with a Love Is In Bloom or a Baby is Blooming theme? In addition to invites, recipe cards and seed packets from my Sunnyside Print & Party Shop, here are some of my favorite items from other Etsy sellers as well as some beautiful hydrangea cupcakes, cakes […]
To me, dumplings have always meant big, fluffy biscuit like goodness. But to my husband, dumplings are flat strips of pastry. Delicious, yes, but just not quite the same. So everytime I’ve made chicken and dumplings it’s been with the afore mentioned type of dumpling. However, thanks to Pinterest I kept seeing links to “Crock Pot Chicken and Dumplings”…. but it never seemed to be an actual recipe for the crock pot. I ended up combining my method for peas and slippery dumplings (using Anne’s Dumplings) in the crock pot with my favorite chicken and dumplings recipe… the result? So good […]
