I adore footprint art — it’s meaningful and sentimental and fun for the kids! I’m afraid my 4 year old’s footprint is almost too big (Waaaa!) but we made it work and her giggles while painting the bottom of her ticklish foot are priceless!
This little craft is super simple — print the file on a nice white cardstock – I’ve got two versions for you to pick from — Happy Easter Version/Pink Bunny Ears and a Some Bunny Loves You version/Teal Ears!
– Paint the bottom of your child’s foot with any color of your choosing (we used Crayola washable paint applied with a cotton ball which is quick & easy), then line up your child’s heel with the bottom edge of the bunny ears and have them press firmly down. Emmie has such a high arch we didn’t get it on the paper but hey, it still looks super cute!
– After washing up and letting it dry we added the eyes, nose and whiskers with a fine point black marker. Little googly eyes would be adorable too!
– Finally, we glued on a little cotton ball for the bunny’s tail.
