Well it has been a while…. baby girl arrived early! We are doing well and so happy to have her here, safe and sound. I’ve been wanting to share the beautiful baby shower my sister put together for my cousin and I (she is expecting a baby girl after 4 boys) … so the occasion called for lots of pink!
We decided on a Sunday afternoon luncheon, and kept the guest list quite small and intimate. The vintage rose invites were designed by yours truly (you can find them in the Etsy shop – Sunnyside Print & Party), along with matching wish cards and water bottle labels. They turned out adorable and are one of my favorite designs yet.
I have even framed some of the wish cards in baby girl’s nursery. They really do become treasured keepsakes. The water bottle labels read “Baby Girl Celebration!” and had the baby’s initials (A + C) which just happen to be the Momma’s initials too 🙂
Here are the adorable pretzel favors we made, inspired by a post found on Pinterest:
Strawberry Cream Cheese cupcakes – the monograms on top were super simple. We simply piped melted white chocolate onto parchment paper using a Wilton #7 tip, immediately sprinkled with pink sugar and popped in the fridge till they were hard and the cupcakes were ready to serve.
These were probably the hit of the party and again, super simple! No bake cherry cheescakes in tiny jars. The little pink spoons were purchased from Shop Sweet Lulu (along with the cupcake wrappers above and pink striped straws shown below).
Sweet tea in Jelly Jars with adorable pink striped paper straws:
Apparently the pictures I took were only of the dessert table 🙂 Chicken salad sandwiches, fresh fruit and a cheese platter were served as well.
The pink, aqua and peach vintage fabric bunting shown above is actually from Baby Girl’s nursery and was also an Etsy purchase from AFeteBeckons.
…. and my Baby bump! (Said baby now sleeping peacefully on my chest and let me get this whole post typed up, amazing!)
